Everyday watches online / broad case
Civic 42. A broad-case watch.
A broad-case watch for someone who deliberately wants a larger face. Civic 42 pairs a 42 mm steel case with a sand dial. Offered by inquiry through Noxbri in Austin, Texas, United States. Check for lug overhang before choosing this size.
USD $184–$364 / indicative unit band
Not a quote. One 42 mm watch without a steel-link addition. The price basis is the watch unit, selected strap and current availability.
A broad brushed steel watch needs room beyond the circle of its face. Look at the lugs before looking at the strap color.
The detail photograph puts the case edge and lug shape close enough to inspect. The 42 mm specification describes case diameter, not the full length along the wrist. If the lugs reach beyond the wrist's supported top surface, the watch can sit awkwardly even when the strap closes securely.
02 / Case and lug reference. The photograph shows form; ask for the current lug-to-lug measurement.
The sand dial keeps the broad face in the warm part of the range. The brushed finish breaks up reflections across the case surface, but it is not a scratch-resistance claim. Choose the visible finish for its character, not an assumed protective rating.

Broad-case fit warning
Do not use a tighter strap to pull an oversized case into place. If the lugs overhang your wrist, compare a smaller case instead. There is no universal minimum wrist circumference stated for Civic 42.
Scale / heavy cotton cuff
Broad should be a choice.
The wrist photograph shows Civic 42 next to a heavy cotton cuff. It gives the case an honest clothing reference instead of isolating it against an empty background. Look at the distance between the lugs and the sides of the wrist.
A large-looking watch is not automatically too large. The question is whether you like that scale and whether the case sits without forcing the strap outward. A broad, flatter wrist can present a different supporting surface from a rounder wrist with the same circumference.
Do not buy a 42 mm case just because you have been browsing men's watches. A smaller case can suit a broad wrist if you prefer more space around the face. Civic is for the wearer who wants this proportion on purpose.
03 / Broad-wrist context. This image does not establish a minimum wrist size or guarantee cuff clearance.
Case support / strap choice
A longer strap is not a larger case.
Keep those decisions separate. The case has to sit correctly; the strap then has to fasten comfortably around the wrist.
If you are looking for a men's watch with a leather strap, start with the Civic case dimensions and request the available usable strap length. A long strap may leave too much tail on one wearer while a short one may fasten on its last hole for another. Neither fit can be judged from the diameter printed in the model name.
Steel links change the construction as well as the appearance. The number of removable links and the remaining adjustment range need confirmation for your wrist. Woven textile is another material direction, but softness alone will not correct a case that extends beyond the wrist.
In the estimator, a steel-link selection adds $20 to the watch band. The one-unit Civic example becomes USD $204–$384. This is not a standalone link-strap price and does not establish that the requested combination is currently available.
One careful measurement and a familiar watch reference make a better starting point than the word “large.”
01
Measure where you wear it
Take the circumference at the usual watch position with the measure touching the skin, not compressing it. Include the unit. If you prefer a loose fit, say so separately rather than adding an unexplained allowance to the number.
02
Compare a supported footprint
Use a watch you already own to describe the case width you find comfortable. If its lugs hang beyond the top of your wrist, note that too. Ask for Civic's full lug-to-lug length rather than assuming 42 mm covers both directions.
03
Ask for the combination
Send Civic 42 with the preferred strap material and your fit notes. The inquiry requests current product details and terms. There is no checkout, payment collection or promise of a reserved unit attached to it.
04
Decide with the open points answered
Read the response against the wrist reference you supplied. If the footprint is wrong, compare another model rather than trying to fix the case with strap tension. Keep any unresolved requirement in the conversation.
The tradeoff
Not the discreet-width option.
Civic 42 is the broadest case diameter in this six-watch range. If you want a small circle of dial and plenty of bare wrist, begin elsewhere. Its scale is useful only when it is the scale you want.
The heavy cotton wear image does not establish a rugged-use rating. Water resistance and movement performance need confirmed specifications; the case's visual weight supplies neither. Ask about any activity that would make those details decisive.
Thickness also remains a separate question. A wide watch can clear a sleeve or catch it, depending on height and cuff construction. We will not turn “42 mm” into a claim about dimensions it does not describe.

Civic 42 / fit-led inquiry
Ask about Civic 42
Include your wrist size if you know it. If you do not, you can still ask about the case and return with a measurement before making a decision.
The USD $184–$364 indicative band applies the 42 mm modifier of $24 to the internal $160–$340 watch band. It assumes one unit and no steel-link addition. It is a planning range, not an operator price list or a binding quote.
For quantities above one, the estimator adds 5% per additional unit, capped at 20%. See the price estimator for the assumptions shown together. A current response is still needed for availability and the requested strap.
